On The Record Guest List for 2024
On The Record is from the creative minds of twin brothers Mark and Jonnie Houston of Houston Hospitality. On the Record (OTR) mimics the look of an old record store. While the decor may be retro, this "speakeasy" has the latest technology to carve itself a unique niche in town. With 11,000 square feet, there is something for everyone at this Park MGM nightclub. Some visual experiences include well-done live acts that add an element of sass. In the main room, the artist spins from a Rolls Royce DJ Booth, and the patio houses a vintage double-decker bus that serves as a bar and a DJ booth in one. The club is decorated with a wall of old TVs and a wall of old cassettes, three hidden karaoke rooms, secret spots, retro arcade games, and plenty of Instagrammable spots.
We at Surreal Nightlife have arranged the On The Record Las Vegas Guest List service for free admission on most nights. So, if you want to check out a club that differs from all the other clubs on the Las Vegas Strip, This Las Vegas Nightclub is the spot!

Park MGM Nightclub Highlights
On The Record spans 11,000 square feet across two floors.
Full-service bars, premier bottle service, and celebrity mixologists create handcrafted specialty cocktails.
This Club offers occasional live performances and Ds who spin out of an old Rolls Royce.
The patio is fun and festive and is home to a red 1963 Bristol Lodekka double-decker bus that has been converted into a bar and DJ booth.
Off the main room, there are 3 unique karaoke rooms.
Live performers often surprise the crowd with an impromptu dance show or live vocal performance.
There is a small "hidden" room called the Record Parlor for the owners, high rollers, and special guests with a max capacity of 25.
What is the Music at On The Record?
Management usually books a popular SKAM artist on the decks that will move the crowd. The music is what we like to call Open-Format, which is a mix of Hip Hop, EDM Club, Latin night tunes, and Top 40 tracks.
For the latest events, head to our On The Record Events Page, enter your trip dates and check out who is performing.
How Does On The Record's Guest List Work?
"The List" is pretty similar at all the nightclubs in town. You will need to submit your entry on this site no later than 8:15 PM on the event night. We will text you the details for your night to ensure you are on the same page. If you have a group of all guys, you might want to consider bottle service, paid VIP entry, or club tickets. The guest list does not guarantee entry. Other options to get into the Vegas clubs are the Las Vegas Party Pass or a bar card.
Occasionally, we offer some packages at this party. For the most part, the guest list is a great option to gain entrance. The list has an even ratio rule – guys must be the same amount in a group as Vegas girls or more ladies than men, but not more men than ladies. On most days besides Saturdays, the ratio doesn't matter. Submit a form, and we will let you know.
Usually, on Saturday nights, when they have a popular artist, they have a tight guest list, so there might be a bit of a wait. On holiday and special event weekends like Memorial Day, Labor Day, and Electric Daisy Carnival, they will likely not have a guest list.
The Las Vegas Guest List Benefits
The most significant benefit is the list usually gets you a no cover charge or a reduced cover charge. The downside is that there will be a long guest list line, especially on big event nights if they even have a list.
What is the Cost of the On The Record Guest List?
Gender | Cover Charge | Guest List |
---|---|---|
Males | $20-$50+ | Some nights are free with an even ratio. |
Females | $20-$30+ | The majority of the nights are free. |
*Note: Submit your guest list entry, and we will get back to you with the details.
**This Park MGM Nightclub requires an even ratio on the guest list on many nights, meaning the same number of ladies and men in a group, or more ladies than men, but not more men than ladies.
*** On various days, On The Record will offer an open bar or drink tickets for ladies for a fixed amount of time. We will be happy to set you up with that.
When there is a popular artist on Fridays and Saturdays, they will usually have a hefty cover. For men, you can expect $30 to $50+ each, and for ladies, usually $20-$30+ each. Get on the guestlist(Link to form for On The Record) for:
- Ladies comp admission.
- Men comp or reduced.
- We recommend early arrival before 10:00 PM as they tend to close the guest list early.
- Hard cut-off for the list is at 1 AM unless they close it early.
On The Record Insider's Guide
My biggest insider tip for you is that on bigger DJ or artist nights, arrive around 9:30 PM, get in line, and you will get in fairly quickly if they even have a list. You can expect a 1-2 hour wait any time after that. I am dead serious about this wait! We hate lines, and we hate our customers to have to wait in line, so consider my insider tips. Lines can ruin an evening, and even with the guest list, you still risk not getting in. Talk about a bummer – you wait in line for three hours and leave without entry into the club. So, if waiting in line is not your thing, they have tickets that include express entry or consider our VIP entry service. Both options guarantee admissions. Ladies, my insider tip is they offer FREE drink tickets on certain nights. Ask your Surreal promoter for the deal on this. Ask your Las Vegas promoter about this deal.
What is the On The Record Dress Code?
We have a Dress code guide for all Las Vegas nightclubs. For women, it's pretty simple. On The Record is classy, so you will want to dress the part. If you look like you are heading to a college ball game or the townie bar, you will be out of place. Gentlemen, shorts, sandals, athletic gear, hats, gym shoes, and baggy clothing are not allowed. Dress shoes, a collared or designer shirt, and a nice pair of jeans or pants will fit the bill. If you wear Air Jordans, they will likely not let you in. No one wants to show up to a club and get turned away for being dressed inappropriately, so please take the time to review our Guide. Guys, in the summer months, they do allow shorts.
On The Record Security
Nightclub security manages guests who are intoxicated, obnoxious, and out of control. In other words, they are responsible for keeping "law and order" in the clubs. Don't do anything that will ruin your evening and get you removed/86'ed from the property. Although marijuana is legal in Vegas, the casinos operate under a federal license, so weed and vape pens are prohibited.
For all club entries in Vegas, you must be 21 to get in and have an accurate picture on your government-issued ID. You will need your passport if you are from out of the country. They do not accept foreign government-issued IDs. Please read our comprehensive Guide to Las Vegas Nightclub Security.
